Repair Damaged Teeth
Our teeth are constantly being exposed to damaging decay, gum disease, or even an oral injury. If you have a toothache or notice other signs of damage, it’s important to take proper restorative action right away. Dr. Zomorrodian has years of experience with restorative dentistry, and Smile Pro Studio offers treatments like fillings, root canal therapy, and crowns that will get you out of pain and smiling again.
Fill And Treat Cavities
At Smile Pro Studio, we use composite fillings because they have a number of benefits for our patients. First, composite fillings can be painted to match the color of your teeth, giving you a more natural look. Amalgam has a tendency to make the treated tooth appear gray over time as well as the obvious placement of the silver filling. Since the resin we use for your filling will form a bond with your tooth, this makes composite fillings stronger and more durable than traditional amalgam. Composite fillings are also less likely to cause tooth sensitivity because they don’t contain metals. Composite resin is becoming the new standard in dentistry for treating cavities and we often replace old amalgam filling when they’ve worn out or upon a patients request.
Eliminate Tooth Infections
Root Canal Therapy
If one of your teeth is infected, root canal therapy can get you out of pain and protect your tooth from further damage. The common misconception with root canal therapy is that the procedure is painful. This is not true! The pain is caused by the infection, and receiving treatment will alleviate the ache and get you to a place of better oral health. We believe in order for patients to feel confident about seeking treatment, they need to know what to expect.
During root canal therapy, Dr. Zomorrodian will clean and disinfect the area to be treated. After drilling through the enamel and past the dentine, he will reach the pulp and root canals. From there, infected tooth pulp is extracted, and the canals are cleaned and filled with an inert material called gutta percha. The enamel the tooth is then filled much like a regular cavity. If necessary, a dental crown is used to cover and protect the tooth, restoring its natural appearance and function.
Replace Your Missing Teeth
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns, also known as caps, are often used to protect teeth from further damage and decay. Teeth broken in an injury or suffering from severe decay and large cavities will potentially require a crown. We use high-quality porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns at our practice to ensure that your smile is repaired beautifully with natural-looking, durable replacement teeth.
Crowns and bridges work together to replace missing teeth and restore your smile. A bridge is a structure that is supported by teeth on either side of a gap, and it spans the space between two teeth, just as a bridge spans a river. A dental bridge consists of two crowns which are placed on healthy “abutment” teeth. Between these crowns is a “false tooth” which fills in the gap.
Affordable Smile Restoration
Dentures are typically one of the most cost-effective ways to restore missing teeth. At Smile Pro Studio, we offer both full and partial dentures. Partial dentures can be used to replace one or multiple missing teeth in a row, and full dentures are used to replace the full upper or lower arches of your teeth. If you are looking for a more flexible restorative option for missing teeth, we can help!
